I Should Take Down the Christmas Tree

Home. I should take down the Christmas tree but I don’t because I don’t want to. And remember this is my year of yes. I am only doing the things that make me happy. #FollowTheFun And my Christmas tree makes me happy. I drag the tree by it’s base down the hall to my bedroom. The bells jingling and balls jostling. The cats are enchanted. But they maintain what can only be called a respectful distance. I climb into bed and the cats join me. We all sit in reverence. Oh Christmas Tree. Oh Christmas Tree. How lovely are thy branches. Fortuny sits on the #AntiquesDivabyAidanGray bench at the foot of my bed. Fia is in her basket already nesting since she’s returned home. Waiting for kittens. How many weeks until they arrive? 4? 5? I’m not sure. Next week I will take her to the veterinarian. She’s eating like a horse. Meanwhile I try to do the opposite. Vacations over but I have returned home and there are friends to see. Dinners to host. Drinks to be met for. I’ve been gone 18 days. 18. An auspicious number. The number of manifesting abundance into your experience. I use to travel like this each month before the pandemic. 3 weeks gone. 1 or 2 home. Rinse. Repeat. Now in this post pandemic world it’s an epic journey. I boot up the computer to return to work and discover I’ve left my charger in one of the hotels. When did I last use my computer? I didn’t work much on this trip. It was a true vacation. I send emails to each hotel from my phone hoping someone has found it. The universe has spoken. I’m Easing into the New Year like Sunday morning.
