Long Walks in Venice

I took myself on a long walk home across the whole of Venice after a fabulous night out with friends last night. I’ve been reading #theartistway in prep for my upcoming Tuesday night #ProseccoPowerHoursession 8pm CET/2pm EST 7 September with @ashantiquesanddesign. The two essential components the program are morning pages and artist dates. I wrote last week explaining #morningpages - today I want to prep you for #artistdates. I first read this book 17 years ago when I was living in Paris. It was because of this book- and the combination of artist dates and morning pages - that I started my flagship company @theantiquesdiva.

While on my weekly artist date during the first reading of the book I discovered what made me tick. What fed me. What nourished me. And that became my job. #girlboss#theantiquesdiva #antiquebuyingtoursOver the last decade I’ve continued doing artist dates. I call them #designinspirationtours. You’ve seen the way I live. My life is one big artist date. I seek beauty as a form of #selfcare. I am incredibly kind to myself. I take myself on dates. I buy myself flowers. I book massages regularly. I go for long walks at mid night. Somebody told me once that you can’t make a life out of a lifestyle but you can make a lifestyle out of a life. My brand works because #thisismylife#thisishowilive even #ifnobodyswatching I take you with me on my adventures and it’s supported the brand I’ve build. I wanted to teach the artist way because the book shaped how I live my life in many ways. According to author #juliacameron an artist date gives you time once a week to do something creative or inspiring alone.

Artist dates are what you might call “self-assigned fun tasks.” More than helping you relax — they are about having fun, renewing your mind and creative energy as well as exist to propel you to self-discovery and create new and better health habits. For me they are another form of self care. And they are the #specialsauce for my particular form of #magic

The universe of "Merveilles de Babellou"

It is in the historic heart of the Saint-Ouen flea market, the largest antiques market in the world, that Isabelle Klein opened “Les Merveilles de Babellou” at the Marché Bert, in 2008.

With its expertise in vintage fashion, it contributes in its own way to the heritage of this emblematic institution, by presenting a very specialized selection from the history of great French fashion designers and brands. More than a country, it's a whole universe to discover in a refined setting.

Indeed, owning rare or exceptional pieces is a luxury when these flagship models are part of the history of fashion. Beyond the cultural endorsement of a trend, vintage luxury is a dream, a journey through time that meets the dual requirement today of being both unique and eco-responsible.

Specializing in fashion jewelry from fashion designers including those from Chanel, Isabelle Klein has assembled a large collection of luxury clothing and accessories paying tribute to the history of fashion.
