Once a Diva…
Once a diva. Always a diva. Even though she no longer works in Divaland, Jennifer @jlh6610 came to dinner with the Paris @theantiquesdiva team Chez JP & @danipelletier. I always say our company is a family. So delighted @lucile_de_richelieu was part of it. She’s coming into the fold. Danielle says our company was part of her own destiny. This house she and JP live in was actually previously owned by a former Parisian Antiques Diva Guide. When @franca_covo put her apartment up for sale, she hadn’t told me she was leaving Paris to return to Toronto. JP and Danielle responded to the real estate ad. When they walked into the apartment, they immediately complimented her on her antiques and ask what she did for a job. Franca explained she was a guide at the Paris Flea Market. Danielle exclaimed “I’ve always wanted to do that.” Franca had made the decision to return home to Canada, which ironically JP and Danielle were returning from. They’d taken an international assignment abroad. Danielle says “We will take the apartment and your job!” Danielle tells me yesterday “It had to be destiny, working with Antiques Diva… just look at how we met!”
Astrology this week is all about your destiny - being intentional about your dreams. Yesterday I shared with JP, our COO, part my dream - my vision for the company - future contracts etc in conjunction with our tv show - I dream big. It’s scary to share big dreams out loud. I wrote them in a document and let him read. This week in Paris, I learned something about myself. I have put in the time. I hired @ajprnyc 10 years ago, and he pushed me over the tipping point time and time again. I will always be thankful for him. I realized yesterday I don’t have that energy of needing to prove myself anymore. I am proven. I’ve put in the work. And I realized yesterday that I embody my word of the year - receive. After pushing pushing pushing my career forward, now is the time receive the rewards of the last decade and a half work. I’m not just ready. I am waiting - in expectation - to accept what is mine. Today is a day full of meetings. @modernantiquarian and I will spend time this afternoon brainstorming in between client meetings. We are ready!
