One Pot Wonder

One pot wonder. I’m basically camping. I have 1 pan. 1 knife. 1 wooden spoon. And yet I cook myself lunch and dinner. Quail. Because I’m in Tuscany, and it’s readily available. Stuffed zucchini flowers because they are so robust it would be a crime not to plunder. There will be leftovers and with the last of the zucchini flowers, I’ll make Zucchini Flower Spaghetti. Pecorino. Olive Oil. Garlic. Saffron. I Ohhh I should return to Tuscany in October for the harvest in Abruzzo. It takes 200 crocus blooms hand-picked to produce 1 gram of saffron. But today it’s Squash Blossoms. I improvise the recipe with the ingredients I have on hand. Stuffing with mozzarella and rolling in eggs and focaccia crumbs. Frying in the pan right alongside my Quail, porcini mushrooms and pine nuts. That bird is not a lady. Her legs are splayed because I didn’t tie her ankles closed and now her pose is downright vulgar. I must remember to travel with cooking twine next time. To tie her ankles closed. We must be proper. I travel with tablecloths. My own cutlery. One silver tray and one cutting board. Linen napkins. Plus my good knife.

After my last Tuscan cooking video a friend referred to me as “the hand” I fear this time I might be called “the boobs” as the video fell from my face when filming. #imnotaninfluencerkindofinfluencer#howdoyoudothisshit I’m also not wearing makeup and I’ve been sweating in the sun. But I am happy. Relaxed. And that looks good on me. Lately I’ve been losing pretense. Here at @ancoradelchianti I am in my happy place. Cooking. Painting. Reading. Traveling with my cats. Sitting in the Sun during endless conference calls. My life feels like one big @theantiquesdiva conference call. Note the wine. @verrazzano_castello - the winery I wrote about last month which is the origin of NYCs Verrazano Bridge. This is going to be a really good summer. A Tuscan Summer.

The Antiques Diva Chianti Club House

Welcome to The Antiques Diva Chianti Club House. Clients booking Antiques Diva Tuscan & Florence #antiquebuyingtours stay for FREE in our Antiques Diva Chianti Club House with tour booking. It’s not an official B&B for outside clients but a clubhouse where our clients enjoy time in the country to relax, taste wine & olive oil from our vines out our front door, take cooking classes from Toma, or even art lessons or learn #antiquesrestoration.

It’s a lifestyle retreat. A place where we can hold intensive in-person #antiquedealertraining coaching sessions and maybe, most importantly, a place where you can go to empty your mind so you can see what really matters to you. As CEO of @theantiquesdiva, what I know is that IF you can tell me your dreams - professional or personal - I can help you achieve them. But not every client is able to articulate what they want in life. You need time & space to dream.

Dream Big. Be You. Find that thing that makes your heart beat fast. That’s what this house is here for … it’s a place to help you find yourself.
