What’s an Empath?

I feel everything. As a child I learned early on to block out as much of these other feelings. I learned - intuitively - I needed to shield myself from feeling other peoples pain in order that I didn’t take it on as my own.

Are you an empath? An empath is someone who is highly aware of the emotions of those around them, to the point of feeling those emotions themselves. We FEEL the world differently than other people picking up on others emotions - but also other people’s energy and energy around them. Often we understand what someone is trying to tell us - even when they don’t have the words. Have you ever been out in public, a crowded space and suddenly felt overwhelmed with emotions that are NOT your own? You might be an empath.

Empaths often become ill - the illness being the WEIGHT of carrying someone else’s emotional burden. Consider yourself an Emotional Sponge absorbing everything around you. But their pain is NOT your pain to carry. Acknowledge the emotions you feel. Name them. Release them.

One of the things I hate is that I feel you lying. I don’t know why. I can’t explain it in words. But I feel the lie. And how do you argue with someone when you only know their deceipt by a feeling?? You can’t. But empaths feel other peoples lies. They know without knowing. You can tell if someone is being authentic or not. If their intentions FEEL real.

Authenticity matters to you. Equally, asethetics matter to you if you’re an empath. You need BEAUTY. It’s not optional - beauty is essential to our well being. And it’s this aspect of Beauty that makes being an empath worthwhile. While you feel the pain, while you feel emotions you dont want to feel, while you have knowledge about people you weren’t meant to have, you also see and feel all the beauty in the world. You know that your word can help heal other people. YOUR word can change other peoples LIVES. Being an empath is a GIFT IF you know how to use. With great power, comes great responsibility.

Take time to notice how you feel when you’re alone. And how you feel when you’re with others. Name ALL emotions. Don’t stop at 3, or 5. Keep going. Try to name 10 feelings you have right now reading this article. Name your own your own emotions. Release those that are not yours. Name the emotions you want to feel. Name the emotions you dont want to feel. Thank them. Release them. For me, I literally walk to the window. Open the window and let them leave. Visualization helps.

The world needs empaths. Now more than ever. You’re the light slayers.A light worker is someone who is here on this planet to help humanity evolve by working with energy. Name what you feel and sending healing energy to that which are feeling. Your energy can transmute the past, present and future.

OUR SPONSOR:

He’s not your typical antique dealer. 10 years ago Daniel Larsson - a Skateboarder turned the high end luxury antiques market on a tailspin when he became Sweden’s top antiques dealer. Now, Daniel alongside his rock singer/accountant wife are taking on a new brand and adventure in the home furnishings marketplace offering timeless classic designs, inspired by the finest 18th - 19th-century Swedish furniture. Think what would happen if RockerChic met Beethoven. With the increasing popularity and demand for fine authentic examples of historic Swedish furnishings, it is no longer possible to meet the demand with antiques alone. Original examples rarely come to market and when they do - they command premium prices. Larsson & Berg has build an archive of the finest historic original designs and they are educating contemporary craftsmen to recreate them. The goal of LARSSON & BERG is to safeguard Swedish designs and to develop, create and showcase high-quality classic Swedish furnishings, informed by their experience and knowledge of unique original examples.
