Boating Lessons

Learning to drive a boat with JP of @classic.boats.venice is like a lesson with Mr Miyagi meets the #badassbuda. Center yourself. You can even close your eyes. Just feel the water. Feel the wave. Which direction does it come? Now feel the wind. It’s a surprise. The wind comes from a different direction than the waves. The waves are caused by an external force. The vaporetti. The other boats. Now feel the current. Where does it take you? Go with the flow. Don’t resist. Feel the rhythm. #therhythmisgoingtogetyou Don’t overthink things. Stop thinking about what’s happening off the boat. Focus. Don’t think at all. Feel. Let go.

I moved to Venice because when I’m here the rest of the world doesn’t exist. When I’m on a boat even Venice doesn’t exist. Be present. Be in this moment. All we have is now. The sun on my face. The wind in my hair. Sea air. The boats are electric. Silent. Mine today was named Vive. Live. Live all you can. Enjoy each moment. This is why I moved to Venice. For moments like these. This Sunday morning I went to a religious service. God. JP and Me and the sea. Me learning to drive a boat.

Sono contenta.

The universe of "Merveilles de Babellou"

It is in the historic heart of the Saint-Ouen flea market, the largest antiques market in the world, that Isabelle Klein opened “Les Merveilles de Babellou” at the Marché Bert, in 2008.

With its expertise in vintage fashion, it contributes in its own way to the heritage of this emblematic institution, by presenting a very specialized selection from the history of great French fashion designers and brands. More than a country, it's a whole universe to discover in a refined setting.

Indeed, owning rare or exceptional pieces is a luxury when these flagship models are part of the history of fashion. Beyond the cultural endorsement of a trend, vintage luxury is a dream, a journey through time that meets the dual requirement today of being both unique and eco-responsible.

Specializing in fashion jewelry from fashion designers including those from Chanel, Isabelle Klein has assembled a large collection of luxury clothing and accessories paying tribute to the history of fashion.
