RIP. A legend. He wasn’t just a friend. He was a mentor. Exactly one year ago today I called this Design Icon - VP of Kneedler Faucher - and asked for his advice. The pandemic had hit. He was the first person I thought of when I realized my company leading global buying tours had lost 90% of its business in a single week. Rocky LaFleur will know what I should do. We talked for hours over the coming week. We strategized. He made introductions. He gave me confidence. “You’re well liked. You know every one. You are a survivor. This will not be end of you. You will transform this temporary setback into your asset.” When LA went into lockdown months later he called and we shared a glass of champagne in the middle of my night as we discussed old movies, opera and la dolce vita. Rocky believed in me. When I started writing openly about my feelings during the pandemic he called and said “I always knew you were more than a pretty face. Those waters run deep.” He encouraged me to keep writing. “What if they think I am crazy?” I asked. “That never stopped you in the past.” He replied “You can do anything my Diva.” He always believed in me. When the Californian Interior Design Scene wasn’t sure what they thought of me, Rocky endorsed me. When a prominent interior designer scoffed at my brand in front of him and me , Rocky scolded them. He introduced me to some of our best clients. And When we @theantiquesdiva decided to do our annual Paris Flea Market Fete Rocky promoted it and made the party what it became. It wasn’t me people came to see - it was Rocky’s endorsement that put my party on the map. This man did more for my career than you can ever imagine. He was loved by everyone. He was loved by me. I ran into Roger here in Venice today, a mutual friend of Rocky’s, and he told me “Rocky promises he will be back. He won’t stay silent. There are ways of communicating.” Rocky, my ears and heart are open waiting for your return. I am certain there are celebrations in Heaven tonight (beautifully decorated of course) as all the angels delight to have you in the house. Sending my heartfelt condolences to the entire @kneedlerfauchere family. Love. And Peace. ️<3

The universe of "Merveilles de Babellou"

It is in the historic heart of the Saint-Ouen flea market, the largest antiques market in the world, that Isabelle Klein opened “Les Merveilles de Babellou” at the Marché Bert, in 2008.

With its expertise in vintage fashion, it contributes in its own way to the heritage of this emblematic institution, by presenting a very specialized selection from the history of great French fashion designers and brands. More than a country, it's a whole universe to discover in a refined setting.

Indeed, owning rare or exceptional pieces is a luxury when these flagship models are part of the history of fashion. Beyond the cultural endorsement of a trend, vintage luxury is a dream, a journey through time that meets the dual requirement today of being both unique and eco-responsible.

Specializing in fashion jewelry from fashion designers including those from Chanel, Isabelle Klein has assembled a large collection of luxury clothing and accessories paying tribute to the history of fashion.
