A slice of my life. This week has been glamorous. While I am active on social media, I rarely tell how I spend my nights. Last night I was at the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi with @classic.boats.venice to see the poet laureate Robin Coste Lewis & I had an out of body experience watching me watching her. As the poet spoke English & the cello played, the words were written on a screen in Italian. An amalgamation of my worlds. My outer world living in Italy. My inner world in which I think. And poetry which I breathe. I could smell my perfume. Fiori di Capri. By Carthusia. It’s the exact perfume Jackie O was wearing when she met Aristotle. The event I was attending was on an invitation from the Onassis Foundation, an organization whose mission is human centric:‘to create the conditions, explore the ideas, and spark the discussions that lead to a better society. The night before as you know was drinks at Quadri. The night before that the former private chef of De Niro cooked me Indian. I miss other cuisines living in Venice. The city looks out to other cultures, its mindset is more foreign, more open than the rest of Italy, but its cuisine is decisively ethnocentric.

I was happy to travel to a far away place in my mouth. Traveling in my mind is a theme lately. I’ve been writing writing writing for work my new website, my journal, my memoir, for another project I am a collaborator, for my television show, for clients, emails. It seems words are constantly at my fingertips. I realized I haven’t spoken words out loud much this week. Even in the selfie I snapped before going to see the poet, my mouth is closed. I am calm. I feel like a bud about to open as the weather warms in spring, but my lips, the petals pursed closed. At the weekend previously I had gone to another concert with @atpraha I’m obsessed. Sara Longo is the best thing the tide has brought into Venice in a long time. I imagine her as a message in a bottle floating onto shore. Living in Venice my life is a constant concert. I open my windows to hear the conservatory next door. Yesterday my Italian teacher arrived for a lesson and I closed the windows on the soundtrack to my life so I can practice Italian.

The Antiques Diva Chianti Club House

Welcome to The Antiques Diva Chianti Club House. Clients booking Antiques Diva Tuscan & Florence #antiquebuyingtours stay for FREE in our Antiques Diva Chianti Club House with tour booking. It’s not an official B&B for outside clients but a clubhouse where our clients enjoy time in the country to relax, taste wine & olive oil from our vines out our front door, take cooking classes from Toma, or even art lessons or learn #antiquesrestoration.

It’s a lifestyle retreat. A place where we can hold intensive in-person #antiquedealertraining coaching sessions and maybe, most importantly, a place where you can go to empty your mind so you can see what really matters to you. As CEO of @theantiquesdiva, what I know is that IF you can tell me your dreams - professional or personal - I can help you achieve them. But not every client is able to articulate what they want in life. You need time & space to dream.

Dream Big. Be You. Find that thing that makes your heart beat fast. That’s what this house is here for … it’s a place to help you find yourself.
