The Line Between Realities
As I cross the bridge I see a gondolier standing shirtless. He’s standing in his boat and has removed his shirt from the mainland and is changing into his uniform for the day. The black and white stripes zig and zag as he raises his arms above his head and shimmies into Venetian history. The water continues the dance blurring the line between realities. This is Venice. Trapped between 3 realities. The fantasy. The reality. And in the magical mirage that glimmers below the surface of the canals and lagoon. It is here under the water that I tend to dwell. Remember I’m a water sign. It’s in this Venice that is the world of possibilities and dreams.
