A NYE baptism
We are the the St Regis. As the clock strikes 12, fireworks start over the Venetian lagoon. The awning had been closed to protect us from the rain, but, to give us a better view of the display, the awning is opened. Suddenly it’s pouring buckets of water all over our table knocking over our champagne. I narrowly avoid getting drenched running inside but my friend was not so lucky! He is soaking wet. So as we watch fireworks waiters frantically dry our table and wipe my friends shoes!! We decide to call it a Baptism on New Years Eve. Washing away the energy of the last year bringing in fresh energy for the new. Buon Anno!!!
